Hello Lovelies

Hope you all had a great weekend and are having a happy Monday.

Moving into my new place went great. Still working on a few things though, I will post pictures as soon as I can. I am still waiting for my professor to email me back with a verdict ... I'm going literally insane waiting to hear back from him. I am going to to Hurricane later today with Ryan, and then this weekend we are going on a camping trip with his family. It should be super fun and I'm way excited!

Well that's my little update. 

My room looks awesome and is super cozy. We slept up in the loft last night and it was super fun, minus the heat stroke I had in the middle of the night. A fan is definitely going to be a good investment for this summer. I will post again as soon as I can! Stay tuned for pictures of my awesome new place!

Moving day!!

Get excited folks, I know I am! 

I'm waiting for my professor to email me back with a final verdict but I am already so excited I can't contain myself! I couldn't even concentrate in church at all today. This energy is going to make moving go by really fast too. Can't wait to decorate and post all the pictures :) 

Hopefully I can find someone with a truck to help me out, our other moving guy just bailed. Have no fear though!

Today is going to be a great day!!!

I got this necklace because I wanted to take the heart charm off, turn it into a clip, and then put a small little dove charm on it. I haven't gotten around to changing it yet but I actually kind of like it with the heart charm. The knee highs I got on sale for 4 dollars! I was so excited when I found them, because knee highs are so fun and I love them, that I started jumping up and down like a crazy person. I ended up buying two pairs, usually they are like 15 dollars. I know GAP isn't usually the go to spot for most fashionistas, and to be honest it is kind of really expensive. However, it is a great store for basic items that are essential to every women's wardrobe. Spending the extra buck here is totally worth it because you will definitely get your moneys worth.

Since I've been so lonely the only thing I keep thinking about is how it would all be a lot better if I just had a pet. Not just any pet though .... a puppy! I mean lets be honest, who doesn't love puppies?! They are soo stinken cute, they are cuddley, they smell so good, they are always happy to see you, have an endless amount of kisses, and are always read to play.

This here my friends is my adorable little monster Belle. 

She brings me up in so many ways; she's always smiley, always happy to see you, loves to cuddle, she's hilarious, loves to eat, loves to play, knows just what to say to make me smile and make everything better. I miss her dearly, and feel a bit guilty about thinking about getting another pup when she is back at home with my dad.

Let's be honest though. I'm a college student who can barely take care of herself right now. Getting a dog would be the last thing I need. Dogs are super high maintenance, especially Belle because she is fighting Addison disease, and take up a lot of time and money. 

This made me get to thinking ... what's another animal that is soft, cuddly, and cute but not as high maintenance? A kitten of course! 

There is only one problem--I am super allergic to them. I am most definitely more of a dog person than a cat person, but they have their cute moments. 

If I had a cat I could name it Cat and it would love me very much. I would put pretty ribbons around it's neck and it would enjoy a nice cup of coffee or tea with me while I study, read, and blog. It could play in my sock drawer and rub against my legs purring while I scratch and kiss it's little head. I would feel comfortable leaving it alone in the house while I'm at school, or work {if I had a job}. 

I would also have a fear deep inside me though that I would come home to my room torn to shreds and pee all over everything. Walking into the house and all I smell is kitty liter ... ick! 

Conclusion ... 

DOGS!!!!

This weekend I'm moving!! 

I'm super excited because I get to totally redecorate my new room, but I'm also a little nervous too. This is how I had my jewelry set up in my room at Ryan's. He didn't care if I used push-pins in the wall, so that's exactly what I did for just about everything. There are so many things you can do with those little buggers! I also love vintage bottles, so I put them on top of the box and stuffed them with dried out flowers. The flower in the Dr. Pepper bottle is the flower that Ryan gave me for our first valentines day. I wish I would have pressed it so I could keep it forever (any other ideas for preserving it please let me know). The Cola bottle has flowers that I bought myself one day because I was feeling kind of down, just a random little pick me up. The little bottle has fake flowers. The little bottle and the flowers used to sit on my mommy's night stand, but she let me have them what I went back to visit for spring break. Stay tuned for pictures of my new place! 

I also wanted to let you all know that I have made my decision. As of today I am not going to apply for any more jobs. I am going to stay here for summer school and if still even then no substantial hourly paying job comes along, then after summer school I am going to return home. Hopefully, while I'm there I can get some kind of internship so I have a bit of something to do, and of course help my mom with her jobs too. I know that being home with my mom would really just give me the boost that I need to make it through next year.  

When I come back in the fall I am going to reapply for the retail store that I love so much. I'm also working with the school trying to get a work study job as well. 

Honestly, at this point I am kind of hoping that no one calls because I really just want to go home and be with my family and friends. I can get reconnected and recentered so that next semester I can come back the person that I used to be.

baked goodies

In honor of not working at the bakery any more ... I baked some more mini pies! 

These yummy little goodies are pineapple, the last two have a little meringue topping on them.  

They turned out great and were super yummy. Between Ryan and I, I would say they lasted a max of 10 minutes total. 

I think that no longer working in the bakery has been a total blessing in disguise. The work environment was beyond unprofessional and just not a place that I want to associate myself with. However, I know that God has some really awesome plans for me in the future. I am still waiting to hear about the jobs I've applied for. The anxiety and anticipation of waiting to hear is driving me insane. I think I have turned in a total of 45 resumes and applications within the past week. I have gone on three interviews and one second interview (the maid, dance instructor, and this gamer store). Ultimately I really want a job in retail since fashion and interior design is something I'm so passionate about. Unfortunately there is only one amazing store here that fits my style perfect and they are not hiring ... but I'm planning on reapplying in the fall when the hopefully are. Other than that job, I have my eyes set on this dance instructor job and hopefully some sort of host job. 

This is all so out of my control though. I know that God's plan is the only one that matters and in the end it will take over. If I can't find a job, then after my summer school class is over I've decided I will just go home and I guess continue to pay rent, since I signed a lease for all summer. Until then prayers and the love of my amazing mom, sister, and dad are getting me by.

It's almost time for me to move out of Ryan's apartment and into my new place. I'm really excited because my new room mate seems super sweet and the space is really cool. ~stay tuned for pictures~ 

I'm still a little torn on what to do; in terms on staying here or going home.  Some pretty sweet new job opportunities have come up though that I am pretty excited about. I go in for my second interview at a dance fitness place to be an instructor. How fun would that be?! fingers crossed that everything goes through and this summer turns out to be some what fun. 

The down side. This new maid job I have will probably make it so that I am not able to go home at all this summer. BUT I will be able to go home on all the holidays during the school year!
