Getting super excited to move!!!

It has been suuuuper hot here ... like 115!

It made me think of the days when I was little and would eat those little sherbert popsickles

Oh the days of childhood 

When the hardest thing was trying to catch enough lightning bugs to put in your jar, so you could use it as a night light later that night

Running bare foot and never brushing your hair

Knowing it was time to go in because all the street lights would turn on

No worries of monsters because you knew mom and dad were only in the next room

and you made your sister check under the bed and in your closet

When you didn't have a worry or care in the world

and your family was everything

Those were the days

I don't know about you, but sometimes I just feel the need to dress up and look extra pretty ... for no apparent reason. It gives me just a little extra boost of confidence when I am running low. Sometimes when I am having a bit of low selfesteem I will pick out my pretties pair of panties to wear.

Why you ask

Because it makes me feel good! 

Knowing that I am beautiful, sexy, and confident. Also knowing you are the only one who knows how good you really do look under that tshirt jeans with those matching pantie sets; it just kind of makes you smile. 

You should try it some time   ...   a little red lip stick does the same trick too

Below is a picture of the bed I mentioned last time.

It's missing the two little pieces at the end, but I found these curtain rods I'm just going to cut in half and stick in there. The bed itself is 20 bucks and then the curtain rod is 15. 

The only problem is, it's missing the part of the bed that the mattress goes on. I'm hoping and praying that when I go back to the thrift store that they can find it, because I really would love to keep it. I just think it is so beautiful and just my style. 

I'm leaning toward the one on the left 

but let me know what you think

Also, I found this super pretty bed frame. I am trying to get them to include a mattress with it, I really would like it but if it doesn't come with a mattress then it's just not worth it. Fingers crossed

Hello my beauties! 

Hope you all had a great fourth of july! 

I didn't get to see any beautiful fire works, but I still had a great time. Ryan took me snorkeling, we were out there for legit like two hours, it was SO much fun though. I saw a sunken air plane and a hippie bus! It was pretty sweet

Marita and I spent all morning making food, baking, and getting ready.

I am not going to lie we both looked pretty cute. We put purple highlight extensions in our hair, I straightened mine, and did our make up so cute. Our outfits were adorable and of course very festive, right down to the nails.

..... but no. I did not get a single picture .... 

my prettiness lasted all of 30 minutes because as soon as I got down to Hurricane we went swimming. Sadness I know

BUT we had an awesome time!! I was kind of sad that the fireworks got cancelled, because its been so hot and there have been lots of wildfires, so Ryan went out and got me sparklers :) he is the best. 

Guess what else! 

Marita and I went thrifting today and found this super cool couch for our new place 

and it was only $30!! 

It may look a little uncomfortable but it is actually super comfy 

we will probably recover a few of the pillows too

oh rain how I miss you!! So excited when this happened today :))

never thought it would be something that i would miss so much. i must be someplace where it rains and has humidity when decide to be a grown 

the special treat i made for ryan ... yes the strawberry does say i love you in chocolate, and yes that bowl does have a chocolate layer around the lip. ... i am such a good girlfriend

Being summer time, it's about that time where I'm getting ready to put my feathers back in my hair. I've been procrastinating because I keep telling myself I am going to get my hair cut ... I've decided I am going to get it trimmed, layered and such when I go back to Chicago in August. That way I can let the woman who's been cutting my hair since I was 10 do it {I will not trust anyone else touching my hair with scissors}

My roommate on the other hand. 

Well she decided she needed a hair cut so she just took out some scissors and ... *snip*

I looks way good too!! 

[I am not saying I would let her cut my hair, but she did an amazing job on herself]

She is also really into dying her hair. When I first moved in it was a light auburn color, then it went jet black, and now its like a dark brown with a purple tint in it. All of the colors looked really good; and yes she dyed them all herself. 

Well she decided she wanted to give herself purple highlights now.

So we went to sally's and bought some extensions and I helped her put them in for her. We went the cheap way though ... buying the clip in kinds, cutting them, using glue to bundle them, and then using micro beads to make them stay.

They look SO good in her hair with the purple tint to it. Her hair is medium length and thin so you can see them really well, but still easy to hide. 

She had some extra ones that she said I can use, so I decided to do purple high lights till I get my hair cut. Then I will put my feathers back in. I will try to get a picture of them tomorrow :)

Oh yeah! Two more exciting things! 

We made these amazing looking double dipped chocolate covered strawberries for the fourth! I had a picture I was going to post today but it got deleted when I did the software update for my new phone ... which I love!

I passed my math class!! 

Not only did I pass though .. I got a B!!!! 

I am so excited and so proud of myself. I am also SO thankful for having such an amazing mommy and sister who helped me so much to get through it. My sister with the countless hours of skype dates we had, basically her reteaching me everything I learned in class. And my mommy for all the words of encouragement and support. 

So thankful and so blessed :)

Good morning my darlings!

Today is a great day! 

Its the first day of real summer for me!! I finished my math class, and ya know I actually feel really confident about my final. So confident that I think I may have actually passed the class...fingers stay crossed though because I wont know until next week. 

Also, my phone was in for an upgrade. I am not sure how my dad did it, but I got an iphone4 S for only $50!! ... umm yes please! I am going in later today before work to get it all set up and I am SO excited!! 

Now for a little story about my amazing stud muffin of a boyfriend. So being my boyfriend, and my best friend, he knows how much I have really been struggling with trying to change my attitude. I've been working really hard and we've been working together it improve and change a lot of different things in our lives and our relationship together, all for the better of course. Currently he lives in the town of Hurricane with his parents for the summer; because he is working down there and the commute would be to expensive everyday. He both make an effort to try and see each other weekends, either I go down there or he comes up here (though mostly he comes up here). 

Well the other week he took me on this amazing dates. He said he had been planning on doing it for a while but weather made it so he could take me. 

He took me to the top of the mountain to the Cedar breaks over look, (12,000 feet elevation!) to the most beautiful view I have ever seen. 

It. Was. Gorgeous. 

After just standing there and looking at the breath taking view for probably a full 10 minutes, the full pictures and tourist act included, he drove down to a little spot and pulled out a picnic. Yes, he packed a picnic with everything I could have wanted; sandwich, our favorite sweet iced tea, oreos, and lot of chocolate truffles. It was such a great day.

It doesn't stop there ladies and gentlemen

Later that week he took me on an ice cream date. We went on an ice cream date together when we first started going out and it was so cute. It brought back great memories. Then this week, he surprised me by coming up Thursday to spend some time with me and help me relax before my big exam Friday. He picked me up and brought me out to a Delicious sushi dinner (our favorite of all favorites). He helped me study a little bit and then before bed gave me this amazing full body massage; feet, lefts, back, hands, arms, neck, and head. ... and let me tell you, he is really good at massages. It put me right to sleep. 

I am the luckiest girl in the world!

I hope you are all having a good week. Wednesday's are a funny thing, you can look at it two ways; "This week is never going to end. I still have two whole days till the weekend!" OR "The week is almost over! Only two more days till the weekend!" 

I hope you all are picking the second option. 

So much of our attitude and happiness that we give off, is based on how we see situations. Trying to see the world in a more positive outlook is something I've been really working on. Trying to be thankful and gracious for all my blessings, rather than upset and frustrated with all the things that I don't have or want.

 I saw this advertisement the other day on facebook and it really made me stop and think.

Americans are known for being greedy. I don't know about you but that is not the way I want to be remembered at all! 

Next time you find yourself wanting to complain or lusting over something you know you can't afford, maybe putting it on a credit card and just letting the guilt hit you later. Remember these images. We are so rich and wealthy in just about every aspect of life. 

I know this is a lot easier said than done. 

This month has been super tight; possibly being out 1,200 dollars if I don't pass this class, paying rent, putting down a deposit for our new apartment, a trip to the ER that cost 200 just for walking in (plus the tests) because I'm not covered, gas money, food money, phone update, plan tickets home, buying a shuttle ticket. It's a LOT and super over whelming. Things add up soo fast it's crazy! Sometimes I feel like there is no way I am ever going to be able to pull things off. I can go in my room and just look at all the bills crying because I'm overwhelmed and feel like the world is ending (in honesty I have done this before), or I can be thankful that I have all the opportunities I do. I can give my best and that's it. At the end of the day I want to be happy and content with all that I have. Thankful for all the things that I can do that so many are not able and know that I am doing them all to the best of my ability. 

You are beyond blessed

So next time instead of whining .... worship. Give thanks for all the things you do have. Because trust me, it is more than you deserve.
