Today is a bitter sweet kind of day

because spring break is officially over

{no no no that hurts my eyes to read}

That means time to get back to the old routine

 getting up everyday at 7am

going to school

going to work

and studying my butt off

On the plus side though

my break was amazing!

I have really been blessed with some truly amazing people

{and i am SO thankful for every single one of them}

Cedar had total spring break weather too

[which was crazy seeing as it snowed with week before break]

It was literally 60-80 degrees the entire week

I went on a few runs

[its a slow process this getting in shape business]

and my roommate and I even got to lay out at the beach

{and i got burnt to a crisp}

It was SO GREAT!

I also had my 21st birthday over break

My prince charming took me to a little "mini vegas" town 

and we had lots and lots of fun

and we ate lots and lots of sushi

minus the fact that I didn't get carded anywhere we went   

I got loads of super cute things for my birthday too

{stay tuned because they will all make their appearance on the blog soon}

 

I am definitely going to need some coffee to get me through my closing shift tonight 

{i used to hate it when my mom used to get lipstick on my cups. Now look at me}

So I wore this outfit to work the other day 

I made the shorts out of an old pair of 90's jeans I found at the thrift shop

Well it was a very sad day

{and a good thing i was wearing tights}

Working retail I am always bending down, picking things up,

and constantly moving all the time

While changing a mannequin

I bent down

and totally ripped my shorts!

[right down the crotch]

Most people would be pretty embarassed

but to me things like this happen

all. the. time.

The customer's in the store thought it was pretty funny too

[after they realized that it was my pants ripping and not me letting out some gas]   

I guess I have a new excuse to make some new ones now

>maybe with some studs<

Good morning beautifuls! 

So this week is 

*drum roll*

  MY BIRTHDAY WEEK!! 

I am turning 21 years old

{to be honest i think it sounds more exciting than it is}

none the less

I am still a little excited

Never Go Naked

So this week I made it my challenge

to put together outfits that I have never worn before

 

 

But

I didn't get a picutre of a single one of them

{sorry!}

 

 

Problem one:

    I only have this little skinny green mirror that I can't seem to get clean and can barely picture the whole outfit in (its one of the dollar tree cheap-o ones.)

 

Problem two:

    I feel really silly calling up my friends and being like, "hey you want to take a picture of me?!"

 

Problem three:

    I don't have one of those super cool camereas with the sweet tripods ... and if I did I would feel kind of really awkward putting it up and just taking pictures of myself.

 

Problem four:

     Let's be honest. I really am not that photogentic.

 

 

These issues my friends

have really presented a problem to me

{seeing that i really want to start making this a fashion blog}

Let It Roll

I don't know about you guys

But for me this past week was just plan awful

Monday and Tuesday weren't too bad

But as soon as Wednesday rolled around

It was like nothing was going right

{Ya one of those weeks}

I'm just going to channel in on one day

Because looking back the only think you can do is laugh about it

[and I'll admit it ... it's kind of funny]

____ _____ ____ _____ ____ _____ ____ _____

So I woke up Friday with the mind set that 

today was going to be awesome

I had gone to bed sick the night before 

but I wasn't feeling too bad when I woke up

{good sign I thought to myself}

So I get to school and couldn't concentrate on the stupid history movie at all

[AHDH at its best]

All I wanted to do was work on my study guide for the test Monday

A couple classes later and we are now in nutrition

I'm just bad in this class

Walking in the door makes me frustrated

I turned in my assignment

[for the fourth time]

And he finally approved it

i also made an appointment to go over my test 

because my "studying habits and class effort and not reflecting my grades"

Yes I think I realize this 

 and yes it is 

very frustrating

Well my last class gets cancelled

Hooray

I decided I wanted to go for a run

{to clear my head a little bit}

so I went to go pick up my prince's dog Ally

After searching all over for 20 minutes for her collar

I decided I would just buy her a new one

So I put her in the back seat of my car

{thinking i could just run the trails behind the store afterwards}

Grocery stores don't sell dog collars in Utah

I leave the store very disappointed

Even better though!

When I walk back to my car 

I find that Ally has just gone into heat

{all over my back seat}

I drive her back to the house

put her in the back yard

and grab some hydrogen peroxide

While scrubbing the blood out of the back seat I knocked over the peroxide bottle

{it's ok i thought it's just a little bit and everyone spills. I can buy him a new one}

Turning to get back in my car to continue scrubbing

I smack my head on the top of the car so hard that it sent me back and fell onto the concert

There I layed

[a total and complete mess]

Thinking ... "Seriously?! Only me!"

and then

I just burst into tears

{i cried for probably an hour}

But after talking to my prince and my Mommy

I realized that I really and truly am very blessed

{and yes being a "grown up" sucks!}

But sometimes I just need to take a step back and

Keep breathing

With that advice I took a quick nap

Changed my clothes

Made a weekend todo list

and started my day over

When I was little my mom used to always tell me to be like a duck

And just let things roll off and keep moving

Sometimes there really isn't anything else you can do

Just know that God wouldn't give you anything that He knew you couldn't handle

And we need to remember that He really is on our side

even if I can't really afford too

oops  

but to fulfill the urges I have to buy things for myself
