Today I want to introduce you to my roommate Marita

half of you are probably going

"How the heck do you say that name?!" 

"Muh - rita"

don't worry loves you're not the first ones 

This is the beautiful Marita

Sometimes Most of the time I am her stylist which is really fun

Why yes I did style her the day I took this picture

Since we are moving into our new apartment we have been doing a lot of random shopping

>for things to go in the new apartment of course. we wouldn't just shop aimlessly ... <

We were in this cute little homegoods store where we found these little gems

I've seen them in pinterest and thought they were pretty cool

I'm also planning on making this in her room

oooo aahhhh preeeetteeeeyy

She has a thing for twinkle lights

Sometimes When we go shopping we like to document the moment

by taking lots of random obnoxious pictures of ourselves

most of them get deleted but I found this beauty for you

Here in Cedar City

We always find really ... interesting ... things when we go shopping

The other day we found this

ummm thing?

Yes my friends you did read that right

This is vagina deodorant

REALLY

Who thinks of this stuff?! 

It isn't even a powder it's a full on airsull can

that shoots with quite the force if you ask me

People thought we were pretty weird but I think they would totally understand 

if they saw what we were looking at

Oh and it was like $7 for the itty bitty can ... YEA RIGHT!

Marita and I like to cook together 

But eating out can be really fun too 

So we do that every once in a while

we've gotten really good with coupons and finding deals

We went to this awesome brick oven Pizza place the other week

where everything is all natural

If you are ever in Cedar City, Utah you have to try Centro Pizza

The interior design is super cute too .. if I do say so myself

This is the pizza we got

mushroom with white sauce

it was sooooo yummy

Can't wait till I turn 21 and I can come here 

for some delicious pizza :: amazing deserts :: and a glass of wine

Oh yea that's the life

This was our nutella baked dessert 

or what was left of it before I remembered we would take a picture of it

Yes

It was that good

Sometimes we even have picnics in the park

thanks to the super cute new French Bakery down the street

The other night 

in honor of our leaving this nasty old house

and moving into our beautiful new apartment

We decided to have a movie night

Not just any movie night though

Full on college :: junk food :: movie night

it looked a little something like this

For some reason though the past couple of movies we have picked have totally just bombed

But of course we still managed to have lots and lots of fun

One more thing and I promise I will shut up

So a couple of days ago she wanted me to go to the bank with her

I was in the middle of eating my breakfast so I just took it in the car

We get there 

in a matter of literally two seconds

and I was faced with a choice

Leave my cereal in the car and let it get soggy

or

Take it in and look like a crazy person but still get to enjoy my breakfast

Guess which one I picked?! 

Yes people thought I was very weird

But what can I say

I don't like soggy cereal 

most of the time. some types have there exceptions

Hello Beauties! 

This entry is pretty much just going to be filled with gibber gabber 

Why you ask?

Because today I just feel like babeling 

Moving is going well

Still have a few more boxes to move over and then 

unpacking

Yea I am not really looking forward to that part

especially sense I did a less than steller job being such a great organizer when I packed it up

The apartment is starting to come together though

and it is looking very cute

I've been doing pretty good with eating healthy and working too

minus the binge. junk food. movie night. sleepover party. marita and I had last night

This is what I am shooting for 

stare at with envy .... dern you pinterest with your fitness and health right next to all those delicious and totally unhealthy recipes 

This is some of the stuff I've been eating

whole grain flakes :: soy milk :: fresh blueberries

homemade strawberry sorbet :: blueberry pancakes with protein powder -sub butter for coconut oil 

It was very very tastey

Yes, with my super pale skin it is a little harder to find definition

Lucky I work at a studio that does spray tans

Yes I know what you are thinking

I had the same thoughts

>To be honest I haven't really seen too many "good" looking spray tans<

I was really nervous going into 

and at first I didn't really like it, because I wasn't used to seeing myself so dark

But when all said and done I actually loved it

why yes my friend that is a tan line ... fake ... but nonetheless it IS there

right after I got it done

three days after I got it done

You can be honest with me if you think it looks orange

but I honestly was really happy with it

My roomie and I both think it looks really natural 

and there are no streaks or missed spots

maxi maxi maxi

Maxi dresses/skirts have been pretty big for a while now

I don't know why but it has taken me a bit of time to actually get myself into this trend

It just seemed that everyone I tried on I just didn't like it

Leave it to my mommy to send me this dress that fits me perfect and looks amazing

I loved the maxi style so much I even went out and got a skirt too!

{stay tuned for the maxi skirt post}

I'm not sure where she got the dress to be honest, but I love the way it feels and looks

It's so comfy and so easy to dress up or down

I love it! 

This week is moving week! 

We signed out lease and are starting to move everything over

I'm still kind of really stressed because I haven't been able to find anyone with a truck to get all my big things over :( 

I'm praying something comes up here soon because I need to get all my stuff moved over as soon as I can

{any offers?? please let me know}

I can't wait till we get everything set up and it is looking amazing

We have some awesome styling and decor ideas

I probably wont post pictures until after I get back from Chicago and everything is completely set up

I'm also looking for a box spring and a mattress, in a full, if anyone knows where I can find a cheap one please let me know :)

beach ranting

Since moving to Utah I have definitely become a lot more independent. 

I am one of those people who just doesn't like doing anything by myself

What can I say I an extrovert 

I have been doing a lot better with this though!

The other day I went other day I went to the beach 

all by myself

At first I was like wow I feel like such a loser right now.

There was also only like two other people, on the farthest end of the beach, so the chances of me running into someone I knew were very slim ... making me feel even better 

I set camp right by the water and was really starting to enjoy myself

The warmth of the sun

The cool breeze

The music in my ears with the sound of the water in the background

Ahh Pure bliss

About 30 minutes in two mothers, each bring 4 children, came and sat at the picnic table behind me

This didn't bother me too much because they kept there distance and the kids were playing nicely

I also enjoyed watching the little one year try to figure out how to walk in the sand

It was pretty stinken cute

About 20 minutes in 4 more mothers came, bring with them probably 15 kids

all under the age 8

I was starting to get a bit irritated now because they had the entire beach and they had to pick right where I was sitting to play

The kids were screaming and yelling in the water

and the mothers were yelling at the kids to stop screaming and play nicer

The kids kept running around me and kicking all their sand on my towel and in my face

have you ever gotten sand in your nose?! 

It's a very unpleasant feeling

oh wait it get's better friends

So THEN probably another 3 more mothers come bringing with them another 10-15 kids!

WHAT THE HECK!!

Not only did they pick to sit right by me

oh no

they decided to sit literally

ON TOP OF ME!!

The mothers made this line of beach chairs, toys, giant bags, and coolers

They had the entire beach and picked one spot RIGHT where I was

I have proof!!

Yes that is my towel in the corner and that is the first half of the line that extends much further to the right of my towel ... yelling and screaming children and mothers yapping about mommy things ... Oh yes and if you look at the far left side of the picture, you can see the entire beach was totally empty. Mind you there we about 10 other picnic tables on this beach as well. 

Pure bliss

Gone.

Really ladies?!

Why on earth did you have to pick the spot where the loner girl was sitting 

So Rude. 

Thank you mommy day care for ruining my day out by myself

I guess it's true what they say about traveling in a groups

So I have been totally loving my new iphone! 

It does already have a few love marks {no thanks to my butterfingers, come on guys I was a cheerleader}

Life has been going super awesome

 God has some amazing things in store for me, and I may have some super great opportunities coming my way soon, and I am Beyond thankful

Things are really starting to come together

Life in Cedar City has been very ... HOT ... lately. I went down to Hurricane to surprise Ryan for his birthday

[We went scuba diving!!]

This was literally the temperature

Ryan said that it was 115 earlier in the week, Cedar has been in the 90-100's too.

This is crazy!! 

Well with these awesome temperatures we have naturally been spending quit a bit of time over at the beach! 

You must be so tan you say! 

No my friends ... that is not how it works for this Irish girl.

I am splotchy sun burnt, but slowly getting a little bit of color. 

[My eye lids are sun burnt ... really my eye lids!     ouch]

Pending on getting a spray tan but still really nervous about it

I was looking through my computer the other day, just sifting through some old photos and I came across this gem

Ever since then I have decided I needed to stop eating all the junk food and really start getting into shape again. 

It probably would help too since I teach a fitness class! ... yea I thought the same thing too.

So after I baked this beautiful batch of cupcakes 

(for our Church's July Jamborie and works movie night)

I have really been working hard and trying my best to eat healthy.

This week I taught 4 classes, went to the gym, and went swimming

Some of my meals looked like this

Oat meal with a bit of nutella 

Hey now

Taking sugar out of a diet that solely thrives on sugar alone is a very hard thing to do

especially cold turkey

I am now off the nutella and just using a bit of dark chocolate coco powder 

baby steps

baked greek eggs ... a bit altered 

This was dinner the other night

Oh my goodness you guys it was SO yummy!

We altered the recipe a little bit and added a few things here and there

It is super easy to make and it looks so fancy

Lets just say Marita and I were very impressed with ourselves

{If you want the recipe don't be shy!} 

The other night we also went night fishing at the lake

We caught a Giant cat fish

Marita and I said we were going to cook it

but we didn't know you have to gut/fillet it right away

So the next morning it was totally frozen and very dead

oops! 

We are still working on our wilderness girl skills

Well that's it for now folks! 

Moving day is coming up SO fast and we are getting super excited

After moving day that means I get to go home for a bit too

So many great things happening right now

I don't know what it is about the nautical theme but I just love everything about it.

It is always in season and always trendy, one of those classic looks you can always turn to. 

Another thing that I absolutely love is 

bows

Maybe it's because of my cheerleading background

But anything with a bow I instantly have an attraction too

Don't get me wrong, I know there are plenty of clothing items that have bows stuck on them that are just absolutely hideous ... but then again, it is one of the easiest simplest things you can add to an outfit to give that sweet girly touch. 

You can put the bow on the clothing itself, in your hair, on your purse, shoes, jewelry ...  

There are just SO many options!
